This 6-day Iceland summer escape combines vibrant city life with breathtaking natural wonders. Begin in Reykjavík, where colourful streets, harbour views, and lively cafés welcome you to Iceland’s capital. A guided Golden Circle tour follows, featuring Þingvellir National Park, Strokkur geyser, and the spectacular Gullfoss waterfall.

Optional excursions enhance your stay: relax in the Blue Lagoon’s mineral-rich waters, discover the South Shore with its waterfalls, black sand beaches, and glaciers, or join the Reykjavík Food Tour to sample traditional Icelandic flavours. With optional airport transfers and free time to enjoy the city’s long summer evenings, this itinerary offers the perfect balance of culture, relaxation, and exploration in the land of the midnight sun.

Day 1: Arrival in Reykjavík

Arrive in Iceland and travel to your hotel in Reykjavík for your first overnight stay. Optional airport transfers can be arranged during booking. Spend your first evening exploring the city’s vibrant centre — enjoy local restaurants, stroll the harbour area, or take in Reykjavík’s lively summer atmosphere.

Day 2: Golden Circle Day Tour

Discover the iconic Golden Circle, a classic introduction to Iceland’s diverse natural beauty. This full-day guided tour takes you to Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site; the erupting Strokkur geyser at the Geysir geothermal area; and the spectacular Gullfoss waterfall.

Note: The Golden Circle Tour operates on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Therefore, it may not always take place on day 2 of your trip — the exact day will depend on which weekday you book. This will also determine the order of any optional tours you choose to include in your itinerary.

Day 3: Optional Blue Lagoon Visit

Enjoy a free day in Reykjavík or take a relaxing dip in the Blue Lagoon, known for its warm, milky-blue, mineral-rich waters set in a striking lava landscape. This rejuvenating experience can be added as an optional upgrade when booking your tour.

Day 4: Optional South Shore Adventure

Explore Iceland’s stunning southern coastline on an optional full-day excursion. Highlights include the picturesque Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss waterfalls, the dramatic black sand beach at Reynisfjara, and awe-inspiring views of glaciers, cliffs, and volcanoes along the way.

Day 5: Optional Reykjavík Food Tour

Round off your Icelandic experience with the Reykjavík Food Tour — a fun and flavourful walking tour through the heart of the city. Taste traditional Icelandic dishes like lamb soup, skyr, and even fermented shark, alongside local delicacies at carefully chosen eateries. This optional tour offers a perfect blend of culture, storytelling, and culinary adventure.

Day 6: Departure

Check out from your hotel and travel to Keflavík International Airport. Optional airport transfers are available during booking. Depart with lasting memories of Iceland’s natural beauty, unique culture, and long summer days.
