Day 2: Golden Circle – Þingvellir, Geysir, Gullfoss & Return to Reykjavík
After breakfast, we set out to explore Iceland’s famous Golden Circle, home to some of the country’s most iconic natural and cultural landmarks. Our first stop is Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where you can walk between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates and discover the site of Iceland’s historic parliament, established in 930 AD.
We then travel to the Geysir Geothermal Area, where the active Strokkur geyser erupts every few minutes, shooting steaming water high into the air—perfect for photography. Next, we visit the majestic Gullfoss Waterfall, a two-tiered cascade plunging into a dramatic canyon, often crowned with shimmering rainbows.
In the afternoon, we return to vibrant Reykjavík, where you can relax at your hotel or explore the city’s lively streets, restaurants, and cultural attractions.
Day 3: South Coast Adventure – Black Sand Beaches, Iconic Waterfalls & Northern Lights
We journey along the scenic South Coast of Iceland, passing breathtaking landscapes and must-see natural wonders. Our first stop is Seljalandsfoss Waterfall, a spectacular 60-metre cascade where you can walk behind the curtain of water for an unforgettable view—waterproof clothing recommended. Nearby lies the hidden Gljúfrabúi Waterfall, concealed behind a moss-covered cliff, reached via a shallow stream for a magical experience.
Next is the majestic Skógafoss Waterfall, one of Iceland’s most photographed sights, boasting a 25-metre-wide drop and views from both the base and the top. This legendary site offers fantastic photo opportunities.
We continue to the world-famous Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach, renowned for its dramatic basalt columns, roaring Atlantic Ocean waves, and the striking Reynisdrangar sea stacks steeped in folklore.
As we head towards our hotel, we pass volcanic black sand plains, moss-covered lava fields, and enjoy views of Vatnajökull Glacier and Skaftafell Nature Reserve. Our 4-star countryside hotel is perfectly positioned away from light pollution for Northern Lights viewing. If the skies are clear, we may witness the aurora borealis from the hotel grounds.
Day 4: Vatnajökull Glacier & Crystal Ice Cave
Today is dedicated to exploring the mighty Vatnajökull Glacier, Europe’s largest, and its crystal blue ice cave—natural formations shaped each winter by melt and freeze cycles. Inside, marvel at glacier crevasses, shimmering ice tunnels, and breathtaking ice formations.
From the hotel, we visit Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, then board a super jeep for an exhilarating off-road drive across icy terrain. Your guide will provide glacier safety gear before leading you into this frozen wonder. Expert guides share fascinating insights to ensure a safe and memorable adventure.
After the cave exploration, we return to Jökulsárlón, where floating icebergs drift in vivid turquoise waters. Just across the road, Diamond Beach glitters with ice chunks scattered along the black volcanic sand, creating a spectacular contrast.
We then make our way back to Reykjavík, arriving around 20:00–21:00. Timings may vary depending on weather and road conditions to ensure the best possible experience.
Day 5: Farewell Iceland – Departure
After breakfast, enjoy free time (depending on flight schedule) before your transfer from Reykjavík to Keflavík International Airport. We can assist with booking a Flybus shuttle or arrange a private transfer for convenience. As your adventure concludes, take with you unforgettable memories of your 5-day Golden Circle, Ice Cave, Glacier Lagoon & Northern Lights tour, having experienced some of Iceland’s most iconic natural wonders.
