Relaxing Iceland Stopover Tour – enjoy three nights’ accommodation in Reykjavík, paired with a guided day tour of the Golden Circle and an evening Northern Lights excursion.
During the Golden Circle tour, you’ll explore Þingvellir National Park, witness the erupting Strokkur geyser in the Geysir geothermal area, and admire the breathtaking Gullfoss waterfall — a trio of Iceland’s most celebrated natural wonders. In the evening, head out into the Icelandic countryside with a guide to search for the Northern Lights, choosing the best viewing spots based on weather and aurora conditions. You can also choose to add a visit to the Blue Lagoon, where you’ll unwind in its famous geothermal waters surrounded by lava fields.
Day 1: Welcome to Iceland
Upon arrival in Iceland, make your way to your hotel in Reykjavík for your first overnight stay. An optional airport transfer is available when booking. Spend the evening discovering Reykjavík’s cosy cafés, local shops, and vibrant cultural attractions.
Day 2: Explore the Golden Circle & Evening Northern Lights Excursion
Discover Iceland’s most famous sightseeing route — the Golden Circle — a must-see for first-time visitors. Highlights include the dramatic landscape of Þingvellir National Park, the regularly erupting Strokkur geyser, and the breathtaking Gullfoss waterfall, often framed in winter ice.
As night falls, join a guided excursion to search for the mesmerising Northern Lights. Your local guide will lead you away from light pollution to the best possible spot for aurora viewing. This tour is planned for your second evening, with flexibility to reschedule on later nights if conditions are unfavourable.
Note: The Golden Circle Tour operates on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Therefore, it may not always take place on day 2 of your trip — the exact day will depend on which weekday you book. This will also determine the order of any optional tours you choose to include in your itinerary.
Day 3: Optional Visit to the Blue Lagoon
Relax in the world-renowned Blue Lagoon, with its steaming, mineral-rich waters nestled in a lava field. This rejuvenating experience is available as an optional add-on and can be arranged during booking.
Day 4: Farewell to Iceland
After breakfast, check out of your hotel and head to Keflavík International Airport. An optional transfer is available if pre-booked. Leave Iceland with lasting impressions of natural wonders and winter beauty.
